Many from Vietnam and other Asian countries as well as the Middle East and Africa live here. Asian and Middle Eastern stores and restaurants are located in this area.
One friendly gentleman from India informed us he had been living in the ‘hood for over 25 years. He seemed to know everyone coming in and out of the building and considered it a good community to live in. Others had less positive perspectives.
The Landscape
This patch consists of two highrises just outside the city core and within walking distance to many amenities. The Betty Brooks Community Centre is within the patch. There are lots of resources here, including Circle of Friends ESL for newcomers. Two parks are located nearby as well.
